Salesforce CRM Consultant (US & Canada)

This role is responsible for analyzing client processes, designing the CRM workflows in Salesforce, and providing custom solutions for specific business requirements.


About the role:

The role of Salesforce CRM Consultant is responsible for analyzing client processes, designing the CRM workflows in Salesforce, and providing custom solutions for specific business requirements. This role defines the business requirements, data requirements, technical requirements, and solution architecture. Current Allant solutions are a blend of MarTech and non-MarTech.  Salesforce is the predominant platform heavily anchored in Salesforce Marketing Cloud coupled with Sales Cloud and Services Cloud.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and ensuring solution meets all requirements
  • Define and implement client solution
  • Enable client on solution (i.e., Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud platform (s))
  • Integrate CRM and other 3rd party data sources
  • Understand, design and develop client requirements for lead management best practices, such as Lead Acquisition, Lead Assignment, Lead Sales Processes, Lead Conversion and subsequent opportunity management
  • Configure privacy and sharing settings according to client needs, including Users, Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, and any implications to forecasting/reporting
  • Understand advanced admin features such as Lightning Page Builder with dynamic sections/forms, Connected App best practices, environment management, and maintaining a scalable org across automation features, integrations, and 3rd party applications
  • Proficient in building automated flows, formulas, roll-up summaries, or custom code; with an understanding of when to best apply each type of process
  • Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute end-to-end testing
  • Train clients on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and data and features used to drive digital transformation
  • Become a trusted resource for customers as it relates to solving technical problems as they arise
  • Project manage scope, timeline and budgeted hours
  • Coordinate and prioritize across multiple active projects concurrently
  • Support sales proposals by defining scope, deliverables and effort
  • Estimate hours per role and project activity duration to support sales proposals
  • Partner with marketing and sales to develop sales tools and compelling presentations
  • Analyze, understand, and improve tools and processes to enhance the effectiveness of project implementations
  • Learn and apply product, technology, market and competitive knowledge and keep current on industry trends
  • Assist team members with other internal or client projects
  • Build meaningful and strong relationships with our existing customer base to help identify incremental added value services
  • Create trusted and transparent relationships and communication with key internal stakeholders

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or similar
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technical consultant
  • Hands-on experience in administration setup, e.g., managing users, security controls, and data as well as creating roles, profiles, and reports
  • Experience in designing custom objects, custom fields, picklists, page layouts, workflow, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, Visualforce pages and dashboards
  • Hands-on experience with different types of tools of Salesforce IDE
  • Proficiency in various database scripting languages like MYSQL, Apex, Native, VisualForce
  • Well-versed with the Lightning framework
  • Led and participated in both internal project meetings and meetings directly with clients
  • Experience managing development designs across multiple projects to meet project and customer required timelines
  • Consistent attention to deadlines and timelines
  • Proven success to operate with significant autonomy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales, Services, Marketing or Data Cloud configuration and custom development
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification strongly recommended
  • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer highly preferred
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general Web Services/REST API technology for integration purposes
  • Proven track record in cloud technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization
